Complications

I should've know it would happen. Right now though, I'm just so mad over it all that I can't even think properly. The short of it is one of the authors has already chosen to leave us. The reason being the fact that every piece of activity leads to notices sent to all members of the group.

This means that all those stories I tried to move to pumpmonger's folder resulted in notices to everyone else. I need to find a way to disable that or alter it, I don't know!

I'm just so upset and once I calm down, I'll get to more details and try desperately to work this out somehow. I may just say screw it and go back to faving all stories. But who's to say that won't also result in notices to everything faved? I just don't know...

UPDATE 1: I'm still trying to calm down, but I will go on record and say that my purpose with FMS and FML was NEVER to take ANYTHING away from ANYONE. Quite the opposite in fact. I wanted to not only provide a central place from where everyone can access these stories, but to help increase the pageview to them on your dA pages as well.

Please understand, and I'll say it once again, nothing is directly on FML. As a group, even if it's in the Gallery/Chapters, the stories themselves remain on YOUR dA page. And when a person clicks one in the Gallery here, they are taken to the story that is on YOUR page. I can't stress enough how important it is that everyone understands this.

If this is about the notices, I really don't know what to say. It wasn't such a big deal at FMS because fav notices were limited between me faving them and the person whose stories were faved. But being a group, all members/authors/you name it will be getting these notices. The only thing I can suggest is just deleting them on sight.

It's too late for me to go back to FMS. Vince very graciously made it possible for FML to be a Super Group and I'm not about to just go back to FMS just because one person felt "hijacked" by this group.

I'm all ears. If anyone has any helpful advice, hints, suggestions, anything that will help make FML a pleasant experience for all as well as ensure a smooth transition of all the stories, I would be glad to hear it. Expect more from me once I really get my thoughts in order.
